Online Consultations with Dr Sofie

• Dr Sofie, your homeopathic physician, will confirm your appointment time and date before the consultation. An adult guardian or parent must accompany children.
• During the initial consultation, your homeopathic physician, Dr Sofie, will ask questions to create a comprehensive medical history (anamnesis), which includes your physical exercise and dietary habits. An initial consultation usually takes about one hour.
• Dr Sofie will advise if lab work is required for further diagnosis or detailed investigation by another specialist.
• After the initial consultation, Dr Sofie will consider and evaluate all the information you gave, as well as any lab work or other investigation reports, to give you a personalised treatment plan.
• Treatment plan: All treatment plans are based on Dr Sofie’s findings and will most likely include a homeopathic medicine prescription, advice on dietary measures and nutraceuticals, lifestyle habits, and ways of exercising that she considers most beneficial for you.
• The prescription and advice will be emailed to you. Always double-check that the email address provided to Dr Sofie is correct, and make sure you add her email address to your safe senders list.

Important: Please note that if you have been seen by Dr Sofie previously and it has been over one year since your last consultation, received homeopathic medicine, or advice from Dr Sofie, an initial consultation is required to be undertaken again. This is to ensure that Dr Sofie has access to your complete medical history, an overview of all previous medications and blood work, and relevant medical reports.

• This is a shorter consultation, which will take approximately half an hour. Dr Sofie will discuss the initial symptoms and evaluate your progress. If Dr Sofie deems it necessary, she will request further bloodwork or other tests, including seeing another specialist.
• This half-hour consultation ensures you are on the right track to achieve a full recovery and healing. It may be that Dr Sofie wishes to amend a previous prescription, which will be done after the follow-up consultation.
• The follow-up consultation report and any prescription will be emailed to you. Please ensure your correct email address is provided.

• As mentioned under the initial consultation section, if it has been more than one year since you last consulted with Dr Sofie, please book an initial consultation. This is because Dr Sofie requires more time to review your full case notes and consider what happened during the intervening period.
• If you have consulted Dr Sofie previously and within the past year, please book an acute consultation.
• What happens during an acute consultation: Your homeopathic physician, Dr. Sofie, will examine the smallest details, including your mental, emotional, and physical well-being, and advise if further investigation is required.
• Once Dr Sofie has a complete record of your unique history, she will evaluate your case and determine the correct homeopathic remedy.
• After the acute consultation, Dr Sofie will consider and evaluate all the information you provided during the consultation, as well as the results of any lab work or other investigation reports, to provide you with a treatment plan.

• After the acute consultation, Dr Sofie will want to hear from you via WhatsApp or email to ensure you are on the right track.
• A few days later Dr Sofie will again want to hear from you to ensure all is well and that you are on the road to recovery. It is possible that any new prescription may require amendment.  This consultation will take approximately 15 minutes.
